  First- Felicia at the front desk was fantastic. I had a first appointment scheduled for a few months from now and called Friday very concerned about a cancer scare, I was told I would get a call back from a nurse and no-one called me back. I called again today and Felicia was great she sent my info to the nurse and said I would get a call back. No call. So i called after lunch and Felicia again was super sweet, apologetic and and forwarded me to Dr. Mope's nurse. This nurse proceeded to get very stern with me, a new patient, and told me that Dr. Mope wouldn't see me because I was not an established patient. She then told me I needed to hangup and go immediately to an urgent care or ER. When I explained that my insurance doesn't cover that and I didn't understand how that could help my particular situation she said, "My doctor has directed me to tell you to directly to Urgent Care. At this point your health should be your only concern not how much it costs and you need to go to ER or Urgent Care NOW." So I naturally start sobbing because being terrified of my situation already the last thing I needed was to be yelled at in such a way. I hung up, called sweet Felicia and asked her through tears to please cancel my future appointments and that I would no longer be considering this doctor my PCP. She explained why the nurse may have suggested urgent care very kindly and then told me to please call her back if I needed help with anything at all. I can't say enough about how kind Felicia was but I certainly will not be putting my healthcare in the hands of nurses with such terrible temperaments. TO be fair I never set foot in the office but just speaking with her on the phone was enough to know that these are not my people... except for Felicia. She can stay.
